Hi Emily! I had to introduce myself -- because I've been reading your blog for the past month and, well, it's starting to feel strange that I know I'm here and you don't. I'm here! And you are hilarious! I'm so glad to hear that your recovery is going well and that that "van down by the river" was averted...I live in the East Village and have loved your recommendations. Although, for the sake of full disclosure, I should say that all that means is that I had a really, realllly good cupcake near Tompkins Square Park...

I do think that shirt would be hilarious on him. Did you ever find a nice gift at Bloomies, or did you have to venture back downtown for the lovely mask Thurston was talking about?

I have to tell you about my dress pursuits...at a later time. Needless to say, pregnancy has driven my dress size up by 2 or 3 sizes in the chest!

Hey Sarah-- thanks!!
i'm always glad to find out that people actually read this thing... as for Village recs, i cannot wait until we're back down there to re-embrace downtown life. (and our own apartment again...!) i will say that if you hit Tompkins Square Bakery again, don't skip Gnocco, which is a couple of doors down and is fantastic (and well-priced to boot).

MrsA, you'd be relieved to know that we found a lovely Pucci scarf at b'dales and avoided the vinyl hood. (phew!) now, though, i kinda, sorta want the scarf for myself too. i'm such a baby. btw, i have *no* idea what i'll wear Saturday night. what goes best with brace-color?
